Hands are the big source of transferring germs from things to one’s body through one’s mouth. When you touch any uncleaned and contaminated things with germs then hands carry that germs. When you eat that germs go to your stomach even some types of germs cannot be washed with ordinary hand washing soap. Soap may also contain germs if infected person has used that, coming person may infected if he will use the soap.
In winter season this type of problems are very common. Influenza virus is very common in winter seasons. Although people wash their hands but they get infected by influenza virus. Hand sanitizers are good shields for this types of virus and bacteria’s.
According to the Center for Disease Control, proper cleansing can be one of the most effective steps taken to prevent the spread of diseases and infections. Specifically, proper bodily cleansing according to various sources requires not only using soap but also washing for a sufficiently long period of time in order to remove dirt and any microorganisms that may be present on the skin. For example, the Center for Disease Control has stated that effective cleansing should last at least 15 seconds.
Types of Hand Sanitizers
Hand sanitizers are available in market are basically of two types. Alcohol based and non-alcoholic.
Alcoholic Hand Sanitizers
Alcoholic hand sanitizers contain alcohol mostly ethyl alcohol at least 60%. Alcohol is of a germicide effects. But there are some cases of alcohol poisoning in Europe when some teenagers start drinking it. So that why there is a need of non-alcoholic hand sanitizers.
Non-Alcoholic Hand Sanitizers
Non-Alcoholic hand sanitizers contain natural oil to replace alcohol. Oils have anti septic properties which help to protect you from any bacteria or virus.
Hand Sanitizers Vs Soap
Soap is being in used to wash hands from centuries. When compared to hand sanitizer it didn’t proved as safe as hand sanitizers. To use soap liquid/water is compulsory while hand sanitizer water is not compulsory. When using soap you have to touch and germs transfer to soap which changes the case and causing transfer of germs person to person. While in case of sanitizer there is no physical touch with liquid so everyone remain protective.
Packaging of Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is packed into bottles of very simple design from PET and now very versatile and unique special design bottles are made from PET and some other plastics. Plastic bottles with elegant design increases it’s selling. Plastic bottles are also beneficial for marketing point of view as bottles have large space for printing on it. New design has made hand wash easy. It can be applied to hands without opening and closing the lid.
